Shop Floor Personnel

JOB TITLE: Assembler / Frame

DEPARTMENT: Production

REPORTS TO: Shift Manager

We are seeking framers with light gauge metal or wood experience for assembly of metal wall panels and trusses.
Daily roles will additionally extend into: operating equipment, packaging, shipping, maintenance, and material handling.

Prior training:
Quality control, general safety, cut-off and reciprocating saws

Multiskill requirements include:
• Screw connections
• Measuring and marking accurately to specifications of shop drawings for metal frame walls.
• Framing and assembly of wall panels and metal floor/roof trusses
• Material layout and bundling
• Help load materials onto commercial trucks
• Equipment preventative maintenance and cleaning
• Use of hand break, shears, chop saws, slitters, roll forming, and screw gun

Job responsibilities included but not limited to:
• Assemble, fabricate, and adjust a variety of fairly complex units, to close tolerances, following standardized methods. Specific assemblies include, but are not limited to: Metal Stud Wall panels.
• Pack and unpack crated manufactured materials.
• Complete work as assigned by supervisor.
• Work in a team environment, be quality conscious and strive for continuous Quality improvement.
• Maintain a safe work environment.

Essential education And skills:
• Able to calculate/perform simple shop math.
• Possess skills in use of measuring tape, shears, special hand tools, etc.
• Possess skills in operation of simple machinery.
• Manufacturing Experience preferred.

Physical requirements:
• May involve frequent standing, sitting, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing and crouching.
• Job requires frequent lifting of approx. 50-75 lbs.

• Must maintain safe workplace
• Must have good attention to detail
• Must be able to commit to long-term assignment, with good attendance
• Must have reliable transportation

Supervisory experience required: No
Pay: $9/hr-$15/hr depending on experience.
Shift days: (First) Duration: Regular
Workweek: Full Time - 32 hours or more per week
Additional workweek details: Typical Day: 8am to 5pm
Overtime available upon management approval.
Weekend or evening work may be required on special occasions.
Language: Bilingual - English/Spanish preferred, not required.
